Crawler innovation dual stage, proline 1.9″ dual stage or SL3D Squid’nserts 3D printed tire inserts are all great options for these tires. What is a Cut’N’Shut tire? These hand made tires start as a standard 1.9 bead, 4.75″ height BFG Krawler in G8 compound tire from Proline Racing, they are then cut up the sidewall, across the tread and down the sidewall. A section from a donor tire is then inserted to add more tread and sidewall where the tires are then glued back together creating a taller 5.25″ tire with larger 2.2″ bead maintaining the standard width of the original tire. The glued section is very strong as it has been bonded with tire specific glue and tested thoroughly by myself and competitive drivers. Each set of 4 completed tires requires 4 tires plus donor tires to cut and labor and experience, that is why they cost what they do. These require 2.2″ wheels for mounting.
